"Little Moments, Big Magic!" is the slogan for Big Brother's Big Sister's! I've been a "Big Brother" in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for about 5 years now. I'm excited and sad to say that my "little" is now 6 foot tall and turning 18 this week. It has been a wonderful accomplishment for us both. I'm sure we will stay in touch forever, but just not officially though BBBS. Josh has dove feet first into wrestling, debate clubs, drama, leadership, waterpolo and much more. He even enrolled into the mentoring program BBBS has where high school students mentor junior high students once a month!

Here's a simple bar bet for you! Put a drink on the table and cover it completely with a napkin on top and on all sides so the drink is out of site. Bet someone you can drink the contents of the glass without touching the napkin. When they take the bet, act as if you are doing something "mysterious" and pretend that you have somehow done it... they will think that perhaps you even placed an empty glass under there! Tell them that you have succeeded and to check. When they remove the napkin to see if you have actually done it, quickly reach over and take the glass and drink it!
You might have to argue that you said, "I will not touch the napkin!";) Keep in mind that this "scam" can be tweaked to work with other objects and situations as well.
Last months trivia question asked how far can a playing card be thrown. Rick Smith Jr. threw a standard playing card 216 feet, 4 inches at Cleveland State Convocation Center, Cleveland Ohio on March 21, 2002!
I'll be at the United Methodist Church the day I return from Ohio on November 14th in San Luis Obispo for a special event for National Adoption / Social Services.
I'll be at various locations for the Digital Film Festival in Paso Robles. Some of the events are private and some aren't. Last year, Kevin Bacon and Clint Eastwood and son Kyle were some big hits for fans.
Otherwise, everything is pretty much private as usual!
