Last months trivia question asked what was the first magic trick I ever created or performed.
That is a "tricky" question indeed. See, the first thing I ever created might have been a playing card that balanced on it's end or an object that apparently moved by itself across the table. However, I was so young and had no magic influence at all and created this those things out of imagination, resourcefulness and trail and error. I was creating tricks, pranks and illusions without knowing it just to pass the time when I was about 8. Fast forward to college and the age of maybe 22 before I ever stepped foot into magic shop or ever saw a magician on television. I "performed" my first trick around the age of 23 while working for UPS. I'd mess with people on my route and get them to help load my own truck! Prior to college or my first and only other real job, I did not dabble in magic whatsoever. In college, I pretended to do what I guessed might be magical for my own entertainment. I created illusions and pranks to amuse myself but not
to entertain others. I highly enjoyed creating a situation and sitting back and observing the results. I later learned I had created what people would pay top dollar to experience. Who knew!?

When hiking, it find it quite funny to see little blue bags where a dog owner has picked up after their dog. I am puzzled at why it is better to litter and leave a package like that than let a dog go to the bathroom in the woods. Please just make sure there is nothing on the trail and save your blue bag for the city!
